The brief of this project was to understand publication design through a more experimental process. Instead of starting with a fixed format, I explored how an artist’s practice, philosophy and visual language could be translated into a book.
I studied the artist’s work, identified themes, and then experimented with ways to turn into a physical, printed experience.

Started by analyzing a wide range of book designs to understand formats, structures, and visual approaches.

Worked on small assignments like a restricted-format zine and a newspaper layout to explore how design shifts with constraints.

Selected the artist and visited them multiple times to talk, observe, and document their process.

Conducted artist research covering their practice, philosophy, material choices, and visual language.
